What makes it different
Making plans shouldn't be this hard.
You know the cycle: your few go-to friends are busy that week, inviting someone new feels risky, and you couldn't name five people in your building — or in the office you booked a desk at. Chummo turns "we should hang out sometime" into a specific plan that actually happens: small group, real time and place, easy yes.
Friendship is built on repeat
One perfect match doesn't make a friend — seeing the same people again and again does. Chummo keeps the low-pressure moments coming, so familiar faces become actual friends.
Small groups, not big events
Large mixers rarely create real closeness. Chummo forms groups of 2–4, with a specific plan, at a realistic time. The kind of thing people actually show up to.
Nobody has to ask first
Asking someone new to hang out takes courage. With Chummo, the invitation just arrives — matched to your schedule and your vibe. Saying yes is easy, passing is no big deal, and no one has to put themselves out there.
Belonging you can measure
Track repeat interactions, new connections formed, and self-reported belonging — not just RSVPs. Know whether your community is actually working.

Common questions
Everything you need to know
How is this different from Slack channels or a Facebook Group?+
Those tools put the burden on people to opt in, find others, and coordinate. Most people lurk. Chummo flips it — it proactively matches people, writes a specific invite, and sends it at the right time. The groups are small (2–4), the plans are concrete, and the friction is near zero.
Do I need technical knowledge to set this up?+
None. You add your community by email invite, answer a few setup questions, and Chummo handles everything from there — matching, scheduling, invitations, reminders, and follow-up. No code, no integrations required.
What if members don't want to be matched?+
Everything is fully opt-in. Members complete a short intake only if they choose to. They can pause matching, update their preferences, or remove their data at any time. No one gets matched without explicitly joining.
How soon can we get started?+
We're in early access right now. Sign up for early access above and we'll reach out personally to get you set up — usually within a few days. Organizations who get early access also get direct input into the product roadmap.

From the founder
Why Chummo exists
I built Chummo because I lived in a building full of people and didn't know any of them. I had a few close friends who liked doing things — but when their calendars were full, plans just didn't happen. And asking someone new always felt like a bigger risk than it should.
Once I started talking about this, I heard it everywhere. Friends, coworkers, neighbors — so many people quietly admitting they don't have many people to call. It's not a personal failing; it's how modern life is built. Offices, buildings, whole cities full of people who would genuinely like each other, with no easy way to get from "we should hang out sometime" to actually hanging out.
Chummo is the tool I wished existed. It does the asking, so nobody has to.
